Romans 12:12-14
Do you realize that we have confident hope? To me, it means more than just hope. It's something guaranteed. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Because of that, we can be patient in trouble. It’s not easy, but it's possible. Praying also helps!
Verse 13 is a way to treat people. We should be ready to help and practice hospitality. When people feel special, it does something for everyone. Their spirits are lifted and they feel valued. We can do that in small easy ways.
Blessing those who persecute us is not our first gut instinct. When someone hurts us, our human nature is to hurt them back. God’s ways are better! He is teaching us to be more like Jesus and bless those who hurt us. This means speaking life and blessings as well as praying for them. I have a testimony to this about a work situation I dealt with. I prayed and blessed and things changed!! It took me being consistent but literally changed pretty quickly once I did that. God’s ways might seem weird, but they work! Do you have a story of how you did things His ways and it worked out?
