Psalm 16:9-11

Today you guys get my “Jill talk” thoughts on happiness verses joy. Happiness is not bad, but it is based circumstances. It can come & go in our lives. Joy is from the LORD. Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. We can experience joy during hard times because we have God in our hearts.

David uses “glad” and “joy” in our verses today. Glad can be like happy in my opinion. It can change. Last month we wrote about Heaven. I could have included verse 10. David was happy and joyful that he rests in safety and he knows he will not just die and stay in the grave.

God shows us the way of life and we have joy in His presence. God is with us and He walks with us through the good and bad. We can have JOY regardless of our life circumstances.
