Proverbs 24:3-4
In Hebrew, the masculine noun bayit, means house. The second letter of the Hebrew alphabet is BET, which means house. It can also function as a prefix to a noun meaning “within”. I think Solomon is using house here but meaning us. Our life. Being built by wisdom makes us strong and we have good sense. When we were teenagers, we didn’t have good sense. We THOUGHT we did, but we really didn’t. The older we get, the more wise we become. Do you agree?
Because the house is us, I think Solomon is saying that our rooms are the different areas in our minds that is fully surrendered to God. The riches & valuables in our “rooms” isn’t really stuff at all. It’s knowing God’s ways of living and never turning from it. Being rich with money and stuff isn’t the best anyway. (It's not bad or a sin to have money.) However, we can’t take it to Heaven with us. I think God would just like for us to handle it His ways. What is the most important is that we see people as God’s treasures and we treat them the way He wants us to.
