Proverbs 14:13

Grief is a normal part of life. There are stages of it and MANY different reasons for it. My favorite NLT Bible version says, “Laughter can conceal a heavy heart, but when the laughter ends, the grief remains.” Laughter will not make the grief go away, but it can help at the time.

It’s also OK to laugh at grief times such as funerals or gatherings of remembrance for deceased loved ones. The laughter shared during those times really can help everyone.

I hope and pray that you can find laughter when or if you are grieving. Know this, grief won’t last forever, and it’s really just your love for that person having no where to go. God comforts those who mourn- so He WILL help!
