1st Peter 4:12-13

Paul wrote so much of the New Testament, that sometimes I think we forget about the other writers. Peter was a disciple who walked with, learned under, and watched closely everything Jesus did during His 3 year ministry time.

My Bible has the title, “Suffering for Being A Christian” just above verse 12. No one likes to suffer. Period. But the truth is, we have an enemy. If he can’t get your soul, because you are dedicated and loyal to Jesus- he will do his best to bother you other ways. Sickness, depression, busyness, and anger or bitterness are just a few tricks he uses. HERE IS A SECRET FOR YA…. he only messes with the people he thinks God can use the most.

Suffering for being a Christian doesn’t sound joyful at all- but it can be! Our home is in Heaven. We are just passing through here. We can have joy knowing that truth. We will see Jesus's glory in the end because we are His children whom He has redeemed!

Resist the enemy and he will flee! (James 4:7) Tap into the joy within you! It’s a fruit of the Spirit and it will never leave you.
