Nehemiah 6:15-16
This new beginning is a miraculous one! The walls protecting Jerusalem had been smashed and destroyed through many battles. This was approximately 445BC. The Temple had already been rebuilt by people who had returned from their Babylonian capture. Nehemiah heard the wall around the town wasn’t fixed and felt burdened to get it done.
The wall was probably 6 1/2 feet wide. God inspired Nehemiah to have the sections right in front of people’s homes to be worked by them. That provided a lot of workers! This was a huge thing to accomplish in such a short time period. It created a new beginning by helping protect Jerusalem again.
Have you ever rebuilt something in your life? How did God help you?
