Lamentations 3:33-23
The book of Lamentations was written by Jeremiah, the prophet. He is often called “the weeping prophet” because the messages he gave from God made him sad. Chapter 3 is titled, Hope In The Lord’s Faithfulness. So that was positive!
God’s faithfulness never ends. Period. It’s a part of who He is. He is constantly giving mercy as well.
When Jeremiah wrote verse 23, of course, he had just said these things never end. So, to say they are new every morning is for us because we sleep. (Or stay awake all night upset over something.) Our human minds tend to understand things better in a time line.
Fresh new mornings always sound nice. The birds start singing, the sun rises, and life seems to begin. I think that's why he said it this way. What are your thoughts?
