Chapter 55 of Isaiah is titled, “Invitation to the LORD’S salvation.” I love all of this chapter and all of the things the LORD reveals in it. Verse 10 is talking about the rain and snow helping grow grain and how grain is then turned into bread. One thing is grown and with help it becomes something that nourishes people.
God is comparing verse 10 to His Word and how it does what He wants it to. When He said He sends it out and it produces fruit, that is a play on words. Basically, He is saying that His Word does things. We could also connect the fruit of the Spirit here. God’s Word can produce a lot in our lives if we let it. We can live in JOY and peace by following God’s Word and His ways.
