Hebrews 5:7-8

I don’t know about you, but these verses were somewhat shocking to me. (I don't remember ever reading them.) Also, I HIGHLY recommend you read verses 9 and 10! This is how and why Jesus can relate to our suffering.

If we think back to the Garden of Gethsemane in Matthew 26:36-46, Jesus asked God to keep Him from what He was going to go through, if there was another way. Because Jesus was fully human, He was in so much pain during all of the torture He endured for OUR sins! He knows what it feels like to be rejected! He knows physical pain, Jesus went through A LOT, so He can comfort us when we do.

We, in turn, can help others as well. For example, because of my miscarriages, I can relate to women who have them and I try to minister to them. God is so good to us and He will never leave us when we go through bad things.
