Hebrews 10:23-25
Starting at verse 19, my Bible has the title, “A Call To Persevere”. Persevere is defined as, “To persist in anything undertaken; maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty, obstacles, or discouragement; continue steadfastly.”
We can persevere through the hard times with God, friends, & family! God gives us hope and He is a Promise Keeper!
When we go through hard times, our friends and family can help us by motivating us in acts of love & good works. They can encourage us with words, pray for us, or just sit & listen. We, of course, can do the same for them.
In my opinion, verse 25 is about hanging out, small groups, AND church attendance. We need our people. Period. We weren’t created to do life alone. Covid messed up a lot of people & got them used to watching services at home. Now that's a great alternative when you are sick, or like me, and want to watch my old church back home. But nothing is like being in the room in corporate worship, feeling God’s presence, & serving in His local church. Is that how you read verse 25?
