Exodus 14:29-31

We could have talked about all of the plagues that happened in Egypt, but I skipped those. Think about this for a minute… Moses, up to age was 40, scholars believe, lived as a Prince of Egypt. He was raised in the palace, not being a slave. He was well educated, fed, & clothed. No one was beating him daily. So, to go back to the palace, as a foreigner at this point, and demand Pharaoh, who he grew up with, to let the Israelites go, was not easy.

We know he gave excuses, but God gave him Aaron, his older brother, and assured him that HE would be with him. When they left the Egyptians gave them gold & stuff and wanted them to leave. But then Pharaoh changed his mind and followed with chariots. As you can imagine, panic sets in. BUT GOD! He opened the Red Sea and they literally walked through on dry ground, with the water held back like walls.

What’s even more interesting to me, is that these things are written in Egyptian history too. There is proof it actually happened. With modern technology, they are even finding pieces of chariots on the bottom of the Red Sea, all of these thousands of years later.

Moses went through a lot between today’s verses & tomorrows. The Israelites complained a lot and made comments about how Egypt was better. They forgot how they were slaves & mistreated. Thankfully, God is gracious and provides everything they need.
