Acts 2:32-33
There are 3 things my Bible professors at Highlands College have said repeatedly:
Jesus was seen by eye witnesses after His resurrection. They touched Him & He ate with them. He was real.
Some of those eye witnesses DIED because of what they saw & believed. People don’t die for a lie.
Other historians have recorded the resurrection. Even non-believers.
Hopefully that helps some people believe in the truth of Jesus’ death, burial, & resurrection because it's true!
Today’s verses are Peter talking to the crowd just after the Holy Spirit came upon them in the upper room. He was bold and not afraid of being captured anymore. We know that this was after Jesus went to Heaven on a cloud. He told them He had to go so that the Holy Spirit could come.
This is why Peter said He is exalted in the place of highest honor in Heaven, at God’s right hand. Jesus actually did what He said in regards to that too. God & Jesus are promise keepers! We can look back through the promises written in Scripture and see how He did what He said. Then we can look back in our lives and see He kept promises to us too! He’s a Good, Good Father!
