2nd Thessalonians 2:13-14
Paul wrote this letter to the church at Thessalonica from himself, Silas, and Timothy. Thessaloncia was a large port city on the Aegean Sea in modern day Greece, with a population of about 200,000 at the time. It was a town who worshipped idols, Greek gods, Roman gods, and the emperor. Yet again, this means many years of living a certain way, then Paul comes along with the Jesus way.
Because Paul didn’t get to stay there long, he wrote 2 letters to answer questions and cover certain issues. Paul, Silas, and Timothy were thanking God for these new Christians, some of the first ones in town.
We should be thankful for every single person who tells someone they decided to follow Jesus! (Some don't tell others right away.) If we are in a relationship with someone who gives their hearts to Jesus, we should celebrate and help in any way we can.
I’m thankful for all of our salvation!! Without God, we wouldn't be here writing Scripture together.
