2nd Corinthians 5:6-8

Today we are writing out of the same chapter and book, just a few verses down. My NLT Bible version uses the term “at home” when referring to our body being away from the earth. This, to me, further helps us believe that this earth is not our home.

Now, I want to get a little serious today. Realizing that Heaven is home (and there is no pain there) might make someone start thinking about taking their own life to get there soon. PLEASE HEAR ME! That is NOT God’s will for our lives. He has a purpose and a plan. Suicide is NOT the answer to ANY question. I have some friends in pain and constantly not well, (not to mention my own health issues) so I understand the pull and desire to be free from that. BUT, our death shouldn’t be determined by us.

The fact that we are citizens of Heaven just means we need to live differently and reach the world for Jesus so they too have a home in Heaven. We will be there when the time is right for us to.
