1st Corinthians 3:16-17

When you accept and believe that Jesus is the Messiah, that He was dead, buried, and resurrected for the sins of the world, Holy Spirit, the third “person” in the Trinity comes to live in your life. Isn’t it just like God? To not only take our punishment for us, but then give us His Spirit too?

Having Holy Spirit gives us freedom because He can lead and guide us. While we need to know what the Bible says and live by it, He can bring verses to our memory right when we need them. He is a gentleman though. We can ignore His prompts and do what we want to. BUT, that limits us again. Holy Spirit can help with our everyday life too. He has helped me at when when I needed Him.

One major freedom He brings is the ability to hear God. In the Old Testament, only a few people had Holy Spirit and or personal relationships with God. They had to hear what God said through someone else. Not since Jesus! With Holy Spirit, we have 24/7/365 acess to God! Now that’s freedom!
