1 Peter 4:12-13

We get so used to reading Paul’s letters in the Bible that sometimes we forget about Peter. Peter was one of Jesus’s disciples that walked with Him for 3 years. He was named Simon and brother to Andrew. He saw more than we can imagine!

Chapter 4 is titled, “Living For God”, and beginning at verse 12, it’s titled, “Suffering for Being A Christian”. I know that's not good news. BUT we need to know the truth. AND living for God is WHOLE lot better than living in the world. We will have trouble as Christians because the enemy is mad that he can’t have us anymore. He will do whatever he can to make us doubt Gid, block our communication with God, and cause us to feel terrible. (Which then can lead to us blaming God for the bad stuff.)

If you are going through a very hard season of your life, I’m sorry. It’s not easy sometimes. I’m going to challenge you again, look for 5 things every morning to be grateful for! Because, you CAN have joy and be glad. A lot of times, that means you are doing something right. The enemy doesn’t mess with people who aren’t living for God. When we go through things, we must know that God is not causing it and He is with us. We can still have JOY even in the hardest times of our lives.
