Romans 8:38-39

Once God loves us, that’s it. Nothing will make Him stop. It’s so hard for us to believe because we have ALL had someone reject our love. God never rejects anyone & when we fully surrender to Him, nothing can take that away.

Paul lists out several things here but I’d like to focus on one in particular. Death. You might be thinking, “Duh Jill, when we die we go to Heaven so of course that doesn’t separate us from God.” There are some preachers who teach that suicide sends you to hell. I even used to think that. Then, one day, I had a family member take her life. Years later, a member of my church took his life. Our Pastor stopped the message series he was doing and did a stand alone message on suicide. This Romans verse is one of the ones he used.

Our salvation doesn’t disappear based on anything we do. Either we are saved or we aren’t. Only God knows the heart. But, usually you can see fruit if a person is living for Him.

Death and the powers of hell are no match for the Alighty! Fear and worry won’tmake God love us less, but that means you aren’t trusting Him like you should. God’s love is unconditional & forever. I don’t know about you, but that makes me feel good!
