Revelation 5:11-12

Revelation is a hard book to understand sometimes. John, the disciple wrote it and I believe it was a very vivid vision from the LORD about future events. I'm currently reading it as we finish off the Bible Recap for this year. Chapter 5 in Revelation is titled, “The Lamb Opens The Scroll”.

John saw a scroll, which is what they used to write on back then, that was sealed with seven seals. Way back in the Old Testament and Medieval times, they write on paper then used wax or something like it, to seal it, then someone important used a seal to press into the wax and leave a symbol. This showed that it had not been read yet.

No human could open this scroll, but Jesus, the Lamb, could. People in Heaven worshipped Him and sang about Him being worthy to open the scrolls. Our verses are after the 24 elders sang their worship song, and it's the angels singing their song to the Lamb who is worthy to open up the 7 seals.

Jesus is worthy of ALL worship! Even the angels worship Him!
