Psalm 30:1-3
Psalm 30 is a song David wrote for the dedication of the Temple. He had asked God if he could build a Temple for Him. David felt bad about living in the nice palace and God was dwelling in a tent still. (2nd Samuel 1:1-17)God told David his son would build the Temple. I guess even though David didn’t know if he would see the Temple or not, he was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write this song.
I’m not sure if David was referencing a time that he was running for his life from Saul, but he had been through a lot. He worshipped and exalted God first. Then he points out how God restored his health and kept him from death.
Even if we are still struggling in one area of lives, we should rejoice for the good ones and thank God for what He has restored. No matter how small.
