John 20:19-21

On the very same day He resurrected, Jesus went to see the disciples. Remember, He probably hugged Mary in the garden. So He has a physical body. But then He showed up in the room with the disciples through a locked door! This is completely unexplainable. Therefore, we KNOW it was supernatural!

I think Jesus's greeting of “Peace be with you.” was He way of Him helping them not be afraid when He just showed up like that. I can only imagine how these people must have been feeling. They watched Him die on the cross, with their own eyes! So for Him to be there like that was probably VERY shocking. Jesus showed them His wounds to prove that it was Him.

The last verse we wrote has Jesus telling them He is going to send them. At that moment, He didn’t fully explain what He means, but He was letting them know what was about to happen. How do you think you would have reacted to Jesus popping into a room with locked doors?
