Genesis 3:6-7

This moment in history is what changed all of our lives! The enemy convinced Eve that eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil would not kill her and make her like God. At this moment in my life, it sure would be nice to NOT know of all of the evil in the world! Who’s with me?

I had us write these verses because we see shame immediately jumped on them! Anxiety can go right after it, as well as fear that we wrote about last month. (If you keep reading in Genesis, Adam tells God they were “afraid” of Him because they were naked.) Anxiety can jump on us when we make unwise choices because we know we did something wrong.

Anxiety is different for all us. Sometimes it is a replaying moment in our minds. Other times it’s just the thought of what MIGHT happen. In both situations we MUST give it to God. If you have to, physically open your hands and motion forward, handing it to God. Then maybe take some Scriptures and say them out loud. Maybe this month will give you some good ones to memorize.
