Exodus 15:26

A couple of things today right off the bat. Starting at verse 22, my Bible has the title, “Bitter Water At Marah”. Moses and the entire people of Israel had moved into the desert of Shur. They traveled 3 days without finding any water. When they found an oasis, the water was too bitter to drink. God instructed Moses to put a piece of wood in the water to make it drinkable. My Bible says, “It was there at Marah that the LORD set before them the following decree as standard to test their faithfulness to Him.” Then, our verse is next.

Now, this was the Old Testament. Before Jesus came to earth, God handled things differently. So, I’m not saying this verse is literal for us today. God will never SEND/GIVE any diseases. He can't give something He doesn’t have. But He CAN heal anything we get from this fallen sinful world. He is the LORD who heals us. He still heals and sometimes it’s because we have been listening to His voice, doing what is right in His sight, obeying His commands & keeping His decrees. Other times, it's because He wanted to give Grace & mercy while extending His love to a person or people. ALSO, Jesus took all sickness & disease on the cross. Therefore, we can & should be healed in Jesus name!
