2nd Corinthians 6:8-10
Starting at verse 3 of Chapter 6 in 2nd Corinthians, my Bible has the title “Paul’s Hardships”. Before he met Jesus, Paul was high up in the Jewish church as a Pharisee. He was born in the Roman city of Tarsus, but he was from the tribe of Benjamin. He devoted his life to God. After Jesus ascended to Heaven, Paul persecuted and killed some of Jesus's followers. Having met Jesus on the road to Damascus, Paul fully surrendered to Jesus and became a missionary to the Gentiles, he had some rough times.
Being a Christ follower does not mean our lives will be trouble free. Jesus even told us that. What it does mean is, no matter what we go through, we can have JOY in our hearts! It doesn’t leave. Sometimes we need to tap into it. It’s my prayer that everyone who reads this month on joy will grasp that reality.
