Starting at verse 3, my Bible has the title, “The Hope Of Eternal Life.” We are writing out of one of Peter's letters to the church. Peter walked with Jesus and learned under Him for 3 years. He was a fisherman who became an evangelist and told everyone he could about Jesus and all He had done. Peter was not always well received in places he went. He lived through a lot of things that maybe we wouldn't have.
We are reminded two things… that JOY comes after the hard stuff and eternal life with Christ will be joyful! We just have to get through whatever hard stuff comes our way. God loves us and He does not cause things to happen to us so that we will suffer. Our enemy and our choices can cause us issues though for sure!
When your faith remains strong, you can look for the joy in each day and know that you are going to be ok.
Tomorrow we will start a new topic for the month of November. It will be on strength and the verses I found to help us stay strong in our faith!
