1 Peter 1:6-7

It’s so hard to feel joyful and glad when you are going through a difficult time, isn’t it? It's hard to see the good when the bad is looking so large in your face.

Gold was expensive back in Bible times. And normally only royalty could afford it. That's why Peter compares our hard times to it. “These times will show your faith is genuine." is how my verse 7 words it. Have you heard the statement that the enemy leaves the unsaved alone? Even though their lives look amazing, the fact is they are missing out on a relationship with God and a home in Heaven! When he messes with you, you know your faith is real.

Why is that? Why does the enemy enjoy causing us trials and tribulations? Because he wants to keep us from God. He can’t get our souls. But he will try to keep us from praying, reading the Bible, and going to church. He will also lie and make you think GOD is the one causing the trials in your life.

Peter says when your faith remains strong, we will receive praise, honor, and glory on the day that Jesus comes back. How awesome is that?!?
